Call of Duty started showcasing another huge wave of banning user accounts. I understand you know that they do campaign against hackers. But this time they have a ban over four-digit account users.
This is not the first time when Call of Duty Users getting such updates. Since developers released their anti-cheat system “RICOCHET”, It become much easier for them to identify the players taking unfair advantage.
Alongside the ban news, I am sure you also thought about why exactly now developers ban such huge user accounts. For this, I got a deserving cause and found an upcoming joy for Call of Duty players.
However, during the research, it found that the service those banned users are using is from that third-party developer which Call of Duty already fined for the same thing. So, here we will discuss the current action that the COD developer took.
Call of Duty Bans User Accounts Doing Cheating through EngineOwning
Back in October 2022, the COD developers was executing the usual game operation. At that moment, they run a usual track over In-Game cheaters and found a flaw there. To be specific, there was a third-party service “EngineOwning” that helped Call of Duty Players to do cheating with other players who are not using EngineOwning. For that, COD fined it with an amount of $3 Million in damages to Activision.
Likewise, Again, the developers planning to roll out a new season that is exactly Season 5 for Modern Warfare II and Warzone 2. The New season 5 is expected to release on August 2nd for wvfhich developers made a quick go-through over players activity. During that pre-checkup, they caught around 14000 players using EngineOwning to Cheat the other Players. Reaching out to that, Call of Duty instantly Banned those players with a single action.
To be Specific, Continuing the habit of quick checkups on Call of Duty again raised the wave of banning user accounts. From now those 14000 user accounts are banned. So that the coming Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II Season 5 can release and there would be no scope of cheating before it. So, this was all that we got an update from Call of Duty and it means developers are currently in action and can’t tolerate any disturbance to their coming plans.
