G977BXXS8FUE5 – Galaxy S10 5G June 2021 security patch update

Samsung started rolling out June 2021 security patch in the last week of May. Starting with Galaxy Z Flip 5G, the latest security patch has now reached a bunch of Samsung phones including the Galaxy S21 series, S20 series, Note 20 series, Galaxy A52, and Galaxy S10. As per the latest information, Samsung has started rolling out June security update for Galaxy S10 5G in Switzerland.

The new software update for Galaxy S10 5G can be identified by firmware version G977BXXS8FUE5. Samsung has now released the June 2021 security patch details according to which, it fixes 2 Critical, 27 High levels, and 5 Moderate levels Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE’s) for system security improvements.

This is a minor security patch and hence does not bring new features, improvements, or UI changes. The June 2021 security update for Galaxy S10 5G is currently spreading in Switzerland and should start reaching other regions in the next few days. To manually check for the latest update, navigate to Settings >> Software updates.
