How to get ‘X-Ray’ Color Filter on OnePlus 8 Pro {No Root}

OnePlus has launched the much-awaited flagship-grade OnePlus 8 Pro handset a couple of months ago. The handset has quad rear cameras where the fourth lens is a color-filter camera that can work as the X-Ray with the latest OxygenOS update. To recall, the company has already removed this feature from the device due to privacy or security-related issues. However, if you’re an OnePlus 8 Pro user and want to enable this feature again, then you can check this simple guide. Here we’ve shared the steps to enable X-Ray color filter on the OnePlus 8 Pro without root access.

The color filter lens is known as Photochrom and it’s still present in the OxygenOS that can be activated again using an ADB command. This color filter lens can easily capture the stuff behind the cloth or some obstacles like the X-Ray. So, if a human eye can’t see anything through the objects normally, this lens will do the job easily.

As mentioned, due to the security-related issues, the company has removed or blocked this X-Ray feature in the later updates (Oxygen OS 10.5.9 or above) from the global variants like North America and other regions. Meanwhile, the European variants, Indian variants, and the Global variants have also done the same. But there is a method to enable it again on the OnePlus 8 Pro model easily and most importantly, it doesn’t require root access as well.
