Sprint and T-mobile Galaxy Note 8 bags N950USQU8DTG1 July 2020 security

Two Major US carriers Sprint and T-mobile have started seeding a new software update to Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (N950U) in the US. The update brings the July 2020 security patch the device

The update brings software version G981USQU1ATE6 to Sprint/T-Mobile Galaxy Note 8. This new update focuses more on the fixes which were being reported by users. Along with the security update and camera improvements, the update optimizes the performance of the device to provide the user with great user experience. The update is being rolled out in the US.

Check for OTA

Note that the latest firmware update for all the Galaxy 20 series devices has been rolling out via OTA and will take some to arrive completely. If your device isn’t getting the software update yet, you can check for the updates manually.

  • Go to the System > Software Updates > Check for updates.
  • If the update is available, then download and install it on your device.
